Because my collarbone and ribs are not cooperating, I have decided to sell my '06. I have started it occassionally and have run it thru the gears twice. The tripmeter shows .4 miles. I go to the bone doctor the 13th. I think the collarbone has healed but I still have a tingle in my right hand. My ribs are still not staying put. Today my chiropractor shoved three back into place. Not bad, I started with nine problem ribs. I have back muscles that are staying knotted. I rode my old shovel today just to test out my back and shoulder. They let me know that I wouldn't be doing any long distance rides for a while. I am a school teacher and will be going back to work in early August. So even if am a lot better by then, I won't have much riding time. My other bikes (FLH, DL650) will be all I need until next summer. I plan to sell the XR400R that threw me. I will be looking for a dualsport 250 with electric start.

Went to the doctor yesterday. I don't have to wear the figure 8 brace anymore. Now I have to go in for a neurology consultation and EMG. My right hand has a neverending tingle. My clavicle was broken in two places when my XR threw me. So instead of healing with the typical one stair-step mine has a dual step, and it is crooked. The ribs are getting better but can be painful. No long distance rides for awhile for me.

When did you break your collar bone? I broke mine Feb 3rd and the Doc still won't let me ride. He said July 30th would be my date. My right shoulder has no feeling for about 20 square inches but does not bother me. I hate to see you lose yuor bike because of this -- might want to hold off a while. I have no miles on mine also but spend my time on here and buying things for my first ride. Good luck on which ever you decide C.R. P.S. Mine was a TRX250 Honda Quad that threw me LOL

I broke my collarbone Easter Sunday. Wore the figure 8 brace 12 weeks. I bought the FJ to be my long ride bike. I'm not going to get to go on any long rides this year, so I thought I would sell it. I will then probably put my name on the list for an '07 or wait for an '08. Next year's planned long ride is to Newfoundland on the 650 V-Strom. I'm thinking about putting the FJ on ebay.

Duplicate post. :nono: The other one is where it should be in the classifieds section, HERE.

So I will be locking out this thread.

Sorry to hear about your medical problems and them keeping you from riding that purty new FJR. Hope you heal quickly and get to riding again soon.
