I just finished the first service on my FJR.

I posted this just to say something that has been said before.

OMG; that damn oil drain bolt was tight as hell.

I'm a big guy (I can put a lot of weight behind it), and I could not break it loose with a 3/8 ratchet; I had to bust out the 1/2 drive...WOW.

The oil filter was pretty damn tight also. But I didn't have much problem getting it loose.

The only thing I didn't do was sync the throttle bodies.

I need to order a sync tool and do that later.

It was idling about 900 rpm. I bumped up to about 1100; and it's idling much smoother.

I want give a big thanks to the people that contribute to this forum.

You all have a very nice, informative site here.

I'm loving the FJR.

What a wonderful machine!!!

I got a motionpro sync tool. It works but I think the Morgan would be a better value. I think it has metal rods in it instead of liquid. The liquid in the motionpro is sometimes seperated and its a bugger to get it back down where it belongs.

Good for you!

Sometime, along the way of self-service, you will make a mistake.

Even so, you will be waaay ahead of the game.
