Another great day of riding at the track

California Speedway has been renamed AutoClub Speedway in Fontana CA. Yesterday on a magnificent morning I went out for another day of running my 05 R1 on the track. Could not ask for better weather, clear, temp about 70*F, little wind and a very smooth and fast 2.3 mile 21 turn AMA layout. My purpose for the day to to further improve my track riding skills, lap times and do it safely, of course. Those objectives were accomplished as on the eight 20 minute riding sessions my times improved rather modestly but better.

I am really into this track riding and plan to continue as long as I am able. Life is good!! :yahoo:

Well, I am taking my CBR1000RR out on Monday. The new track just opened up late last year. I haven't had a chance to run it, so I can't wait..

Nice one Dave, how far off the race times are you? Do you get racers out there messing with setup on track days?

Congrats on the successful day at the track. And here I think I am doing good if the bike and I leave the same way we came that morning.
