Im sure it has been asked several times what will yamaha come out with for 09 . Color ,new gagets , more hp, what will it be. Does yamaha ever look at this page to see what we want????. thanks guys
Come on guys, remember when your were looking for your FJR and wasn't hep to the board yet? So cut Ray some slack.
And dstray, yes this subject has been beaten to death here on the board. And yes using google or the search feature here will undoubtably find you a great treasure and wealth of information that has been discussed.
Back in 04 I too was interested in the FJR and by doing the above mentioned I did find much info and knowledge on the bike. But really no one was really in the know about the changes that were going to occur when the new redesigned Gen II bikes came out in 06 with the design changes that MM2 mentioned above.
Yes there was some excitment about the redesign of the airflow management and the heat sheild that was added between the tank and engine that helped eleminate the heat problem that many were experiencing and the other mods mentioned and the further few mods that were done in the 08 model.
When a manufacturer like Yamaha does make changes, there is really no advance notice because this would tip their hat to the competitors that could give away any top secret model changes just as much as the auto makers also practice this type of secret evolution in their new models.
And it is my opinion that Yamaha does maybe look at our forum for complaints, feedback and praises that might occur just like they do when they send out the questionaire after you purchase your FJR so they might make changes and help keep their customers happy so they will buy more Yamaha products and become future return customers.
My advice here is to just get your bank roll up to snuff and when your ready, get that bike! You won't regret it. So patience is key.
You are at an advantage because when I bought my 06 and those before me had to pony up $500 bucks for a down payment for a new bike they had never ridden or even got to test ride one anywhere and wait for up to 6 months and some even more for their new FJR to arrive while others were out riding and having a good time. It was called the PDP, (pre-delivery program), and while waiting, asking dumb questions to other veteran FJR owners on the board and getting some great advice and also getting ribbed and made fun of for six months while waiting.
Yes, you are lucky so just take your time and when its right get the bike. PM. <><
(EDIT) Ok Silent, I'm not in the know but I spaced some paragraphs. Alrightyyyyyyy then. PM. <><
