Remembering vaguely discussions about the FJR headlight capsules and how suitable they were for the HID-ectomy, it occured to me to wonder if any motorcycles come with standard HID headlamps? Anyone?

Thanks!

BMW offer HIDs as a factory option on the K1200LT and K1200GT.

In the US? Doubtful. If BMW does, they have jumped through a LOT of hoops.

street legal HID lights (for low/high beam) are required in the US to be self leveling (hard to do on a motorcycle) and have a front-lens cleaning system.

I've put alot of miles up with a KGT in my mirrors. It's a very, VERY good light. Just what you expect from a $24K bike. I have the HID replacements, and i LOVE mine, but his had a better light pattern at lowbeam (obviously).
