american modern m/c insurace came in $500 below foremost m/c insurance...

american modern is rated 'a+' on the am best ins site...

i was wondering if anyone had claims experience (good/bad/indifferent) with this carrier?

Good find dana!! This appears to be a solid company. I have a AM Best 2006 ed. here in my office. They are indeed a A+ stable rated company. I can not speak for how they handle claims, but their quote was far less than anyone else I have contacted. They gave me a quote for full coverage annual premium of $307.00. I would like to think since they have a A+ stable rating they should handle claims comparably well, or at least as well as most other reputable A+ rated companies. I am in the market for renewal of my policy. American Modern is mailing me a quote page and a policy brochure. After I read it carefully I'll make my decision. The only down side is there max liability limits they will write is 100/300/50 unless you have a homeowners umbrella which I do not have. I would like to have more liability.

Decided to go w/American Modern

I just checked with them and got a quote of $968! I'm 55, have a clean driving record, and am a homeowner. Go figure.

bumped to say i finally went with this company... very nice people... same coverage as donaldb above, 836 for south florida...

it's still 700 bucks less than formost...

i spoke with marie jones at american modern... got off the phone with her at 1855, application for signature only was in my email @ 1938...
