Has anyone heard of any recalls for the 2010 model? I have not but I have not had it all that long. I'm more interested in knowing if there is one for the ECU for the '10. I know there was one for the '07 (I had one) but it should be fixed by the '10 model.

I'm asking because I have this idle surge that I can't seem to get adjusted out (TBS). It seemed to be lean so I used the Barbarian Jumper mod and made the fuel richer (went from all 0's to all 12's). That seemed to help a lot but the surge is still there. I'm not sure I should go any higher??? It just does NOT like transition from idle to off idle.

Also, the bike seems to stall on the shift from 1st to 2nd if the throttle is not "JUST" right, I can shift through the rest of the gears butter smooth even if the throttle is not JUST right. I've been riding FJR's for 4 years now and this is my 2nd one so I've figured out the notorious jerky tranny of the FJR. I don't think it's the tranny at all I think it has something to do with the fuel mapping at those low throttle settings. It runs smooth when the throttle is up above 2k RPM, it will even shift 1st to 2nd smooth if the throttle is up around 4k, but I don't always want to wind it up that high when I'm just slowly cruising around town.

Is this something that my warranty might cover if I take it to a dealer?? It might be something that a Power Commander V (with auto tune) might cure but I want to exhaust all the possibilities before I drop $500+ for a PC not even knowing if it will work...

Sine I'm asking about recalls..... did Yamaha fix the ground spyder problem with the'10 model. I've noticed that it still has the same spyders just like my '07 had but there is no recall (that I'm aware of) for it?????

Thanks,

They're all pinned at the top of this area....the area you posted this thread. I updated the titles to show years myself for "RECALL".

Is your idle speed adjusted to 1000 or 1100?

The spiders on my '10 are different from my '06. On the notorious one (front left of engine) the '10 only has 4 wires instead of 6 (IIRC), one thicker than the others. I have no other details.

Call or go to any Yamaha dealer and give them your VIN and they will look up your FJR in Yamaha's computer. They will be able to tell you all recall information and any service information.
