Do any of the Suzuki owners out there have one of these yet? I'm wondering about set up and installation time. Also wondering if the ol' butt dyno registers a difference or not. If anyone in the KC area is interested, I'm looking for a test bike.

My understanding is that Suzuki builds a 'restrictor' to the electronics on their bikes. That little box gives you a gear indicator as well as disabling the restriction. i.e....advanced timing restrictor eleminator. Supposedly this thing is supposed to plug right into the factory harness and away you go. I have one coming and want to check it out and get some feed back. So if anyone (local) around here is interested in checking this thing out on there bike without haveing to purchase one, give me a shout.

Oh yeah, i remember now. I friend of mine just put one on his 03 gsxr600. It made a huge difference. It is such an incredible power increase that he pulls it out when he lets his daughter ride it. "Too much for her to handle" in his eyes.

Many of the faster sport bikes are being equipped with power limiting "safety" devices. Even the 06 FZ-1 has one that limits it to 116 hp (+/- a few) in the first three gears. ZX-10, the Gixxer and of course the Busa has one. There may be more but those or the ones I am sure of. Kits are available to eliminate the timing retarder for all of them with the exception of the FZ1. That one robs power a different way and a fix is currently under development but not ready yet.
