From a Cali bike? I just put Roadrunner's harnesses on and since I've got the fairings off I've decided to ditch it. It's a total PITA to put the plastic back on and get it in there too. What did you do with the 2 tubes that ran to it? Right now I just rerouted them back and down between the engine and swingarm. Hopefully this will get rid of that annoying stumbling the engine does on cold starts on really hot days sitting in the sun. TIA!

Yes, but not an FJR.

There's (on bikes I've seen) a hose that goes, eventually, to the engine's intake to suck-up the fumes. That vacuum source, usually, needs to be blocked/plugged.

Hmmm, wonder if I should just connect them together. One probably is a return line to the tank.

Arrgh. Don't have the answer right now for you.

Had a deer strike, the new lowers were not California model, meaning the evap stuff would not work - and it was not installed.

I'll ask the tech mananna if I remember to call..

On a non-Cali bike, the two lines from the tank are tee'd together and then run to the swingarm. Check out the Parts Fiche to see the differences.

Dcarver, that sucks! Hope you're ok and your ins treats you good. Escapefjr, thanks! Sounds like I should be good to go. Maybe I'll lift the tank and see about teeing them together and routing them a better way. I hope it gets rid of the stumbling I get on hot days when it's been sitting in the sun. It's pretty annoying.

Took a little test ride earlier and all seems well. Nothing leaking from the hoses that went to the cannister and the bike runs fine. Could be my imagination, but it seemed like it started easier and ran a little smoother than before installing the harnesses. Anyway, I'm a happy camper! Just want to say a big thanks to Roadrunner for the harnesses, I feel a lot more confident I won't be stranded somewhere now.
