Anybody going to OSHKOSH this year?

Okay I'm a huge plane geek,but I've NEVER been to oshkosh. Last year I planned on going but the moron that was supposed to relieve me in the morning got a frickin tummy ache at 6am! :angry03: Thus forcing me into a 40 hr day and I never recovered the time due to a trade that week,needlaess to say i was exhausted.

This year I am going,with or w/o vital organs/limbs functioning and was wondering if anyone else is going or thinking about going. Seems like a nice day trip cuz i HIGHLY doubt any hotels/motels are available anywhere near there that week.Maybe a nice nap by the feejer for me before the ride home! Sleep or ***,anywhere ,anytime(my motto) Oh and before Radman nails me on it,FEMALE HUMANS only for the above mentioned motto. No brokeback squadron going on here. :lol:

If you've never gone, it's a must see. I have flown in and camped at the plane a few times. Great fun.

I went there once about a decade ago. There were only two hot chicks there and I was with one of them. Otherwise, seeing a jet fighter hover was pretty bad ***. Another plane was flying so slow that it was hovering....from the headwind.

I've been there numerous times, some because my motors were working. But it's been a while. Already have so many destinations this year that I doubt I can stuff it in. WFO, CFO, UFO, WTF, etc etc.

I was hoping to make some of those too but, I'm getting married during the cfo and can't get time off for the wfo due to taking aton of time off for the wedding. Too bad to cuz i know i'd head over to FALLON NAS to snap some aggressor pic's. Been wanting to go there since thay moved nwfs over there after giving MRAMAR to the USMC. Maybe next year i'll take a few weeks off w/ the misses and do the nellis range thing(area51 and the like). Gotta use this maxxum 7d to make it pay for itself in saved film costs!

I'm missing OSH for the first time in like 11 years this year. Going to WFO (NFO?) instead. Too bad. My F1 should be flying by then. But a two week bike trip instead will be AWESOME.

You might be surprised about getting a hotel. I know folks that routinely luck out and get rooms. I always like camping under the wing. Or I'd stay down state and fly back and forth each day. It's a lot of fun.

Next year, I will probably be there the entire week with my Rocket. Of course, it's SO fast, I can fly back and forth to Indiana each day. SWEET! And garunteed a place to park it at the show, unlike the spam cans I've flown into the show in the past. Having said that, I've only been turned away once. Then went to Fon Du Lac. Ugh. But I never go on the weekend.... if I can help it.

Would be fun to ride up there. Of course, if Nevada falls off the face of the earth, or there is a July Blizzard and torrential rain problem out west, I may still end up at OSH. But more than likely, I'll be on the road with a few of my FJR friends.
