I have not made that move, but I would check into maintenance and mainternance type items before you pull the trigger. If you do your own wrenching then this would be a non issue.

It seems all those that I have known that own or have owned DUCs have had a love hate relationship with their bikes. Maintenance and things breakin created the hate side of the relationship. One that I know, who had a multistrada had wire harness issues, where the harness was essentially rotting out. Hence the hate side of things. Otherwise they loved their DUCs. Of course this is one instance out of many and may not be indicative of the whole world of DUCs.

The current generation of Ducs can really put away some of those old horror stories in generl. The reason I qualified that is because parts do still cost more, the bike costs more, deal labor tends to cost more, so your expectations are higher. If you do not do your own maintenance, ownership will largely reflect how you like your dealer's service department.

If it fit my mission and blew my kilt up, I'd have zero hesitation about buying another Duck!
