What I'm looking for specifically is:

SKU: 90183-05076-00

NUT, SPRING

Item #79 in this pretty picture. It's the clip on spring nut for that panel. I lost it deep into the bowels of the bike somewhere while installing my new battery :(

I've already ordered one and a couple other spare items, but I'm afraid I won't see it for a couple weeks.

I don't have one in my stores, but I'd be surprised if you don't get it a lot sooner than what you've guessed. When I order stuff from my local dealer on a Tuesday, it usually shows up on Thursday or Friday. Unless its officially "not in the country" you ought to see it pretty quickly.

Thanks... Here's to hopping. all the online vendors all looked about the same price wise for this and the other rivets. So I ordered from babbits.

Maybe I'll get it next week :)

I'd bet you'll get yours at your dealer before I could sent you one from California. Those are the type of things I ordered when I bought my '04, things you learn from owning fully faired motorcycles....always have extra fasteners "in supply" (spring nuts, body bolts, etc.).

I find it hard to believe your dealer doesn't keep this kinda stuff in stock. Mechanics lose that kinda thing on a daily basis and they usually get one out of the parts bin.
Tried Three dealers today, two by personal visit, then one called the 3rd. None of them had this fooking little spring nut in stock.

I already ordered em but I'm skeptical I'll see them by next weekend. We'll see.

It's pretty damn easy to pop off the lowers and I bet that thing will be found. I had mine off last week and recovered three fasteners, but I've only lost one. Must have been those "professionals" that I let do warranty work on my bike....
