Each time I ride the bike quick to get it out of the garage or do some cleaning (Helmet off) so I can actually hear I might ride the bike down the street and turn around. As I accelerate then let off the gas I hear what sounds like BB's bouncing around under the bike. I was thinking it could be a bad C Converter or not sure. Just wondering if anyone hears the same rattling noise with their face shields up or taking a quick turn on their court and hear the same damn noise...

Sorry, never heard any sound like that on my 60k 06. Had some 'muffler' noise at idle in 07 but a new cam chain tensioner fixed all that. Good luck...

I have noticed a noise similar to what you describe, however mine was coming from the rear of the bike. I finally traced it down to the siren of the aftermarket alarm system that I had installed near the tailight assembly under the seat.

Sounded a bit like someone shaking a rattle can of paint, and was only noticeable when coming off throttle.

Yes, I heard it on my '04 early on...it has to do with the load released on the cats when I release the throttle when riding it before the bike has fully warmed up. There was an explanation sometime ago by one of the mech persons on this site. The synopsis was that it wasn't damaging anything.

BTW, it sounded metallic and like things popping when you decellerated...I liked the sound...maybe it was me.

Anyways, don't take my word for it secondhand...use the google search function and see if you can find the thread. others will be amazed at your mad krazee search skills as you step up to take the madd search skills prize at NAFO next year. :clapping:

;)

Here's your "cat" reference. Clickly

Put forth by the one any only TWN. Further into the thread you'll find a reason why.

Just searching +rattle in the tech/mech forum will get you everything from fairing bolts to helmet locks
