Under $20.

You guys don't ride KLR's do you? My motto on the KLR is "cheap, not frugal". For the FJR my spending seems to know no bounds.

A friend in Phoenix has purchased one and is picking it up today. He's going to review it for me and let me know what he thinks...

I'm asking about on that would hold 3 jackets.
Sorry for the blurry pic, but, I made this for well less than $100.

Not to be rude however I think you make the original posters point for him. The unit advertised is vented under the helmet and yours isnt. The jacket stands off the wall so the jacket can air out. Your jackets are all touching and closed up. you win in the competition for cost. However I like his idea, functionality and methods. I have asked him about a two Jacket/helmet combo. In fact if I could also hang two pair of pants for the same reason I would be sold. I think his price is a little high however I am sure his matertials cost is high due to low quantity.

The biggest problem I see is S&H. I will be heavy and difficult to ship.

Yeah yeah :p I could do that but it's not as "cool"

I'm not a welder, so it looked like a great item that I couldn't build myself. The wire shelving would really work, but I'd have to cut three sections to fit the helmets, wasted several supports...I don't have a width greater than 20" to work with. I do have 6ft of vertical space.

Shipping would keep me from buying this. I didn't think it was a bad price for that item.

Could easily be accomplished with a 2" hole saw. I've never had a need to have it vented. Built this 4 years ago and have hung many wet helmets on it with no problems.

ummmm, turn them around so they aren't facing the wall?

The fundamentals are there - could be easily modified depending on placement of hooks, but, it suits me fine. I like his idea...I like my price

I'm thinking a can of spray paint in the "hammered nickle" color/finish and the wire linen shelving wouldn't look so...so...boring

Functionality can't be beat, but it looks like c@%p as is
