Looks like it works the same way as the Vetter Magic Seat Board, only a bit more elegant.

Looks more like an Airhawk to me only without all the individual cells like the Airhawk has. Definitely not the Vetter board.

It looks to me like it does the same thing, shifting some of the load off the sit bones and moving it to the thighs.
