1. Do I clean my cycle after every ride?

2. Do rain and/or wet roads upset me?

3. Do I have a rain cover in any of my storage areas? Is it always there?

4. Do I take my bike to 'meets/breakfasts/etc.' and make sure it's sparkling when I get there?

5. When another biker comments on how clean my bike looks I give them an 'Aw Shucks' lie that says I haven't cleaned it in weeks, but in reality you just did.

6. Did I buy a Garmin 376C with weather feature so I can see if it's going to rain on my clean bike? And avoid rain areas.

7. Given the choice of riding or detailing, detailing is more fun.

8. Do I have more than four (4) detailing products in my garage? E.g. S100, BOM

9. Have I abandoned standard microfiber rags for ultra-microfiber rags?

10. Have I abandoned chrome/polished stainless because I can't get rid of early morning fog?

11. Do I color coordinate my riding gear with my bike color(s)?

12. Do I polish my boots after each ride?

IF YOU HAVE ANSWERED YES TO FOUR (4) OR MORE YOU [ARE/MAY BE] A POSEUR!

WHATEVER!!!

I have a Dodge Ram 2500 Diesel that I have had less than 2 years and has almost 50000 miles on it. I still keep it super clean and even wash the engine everytime I wash it.

My bike has almost 4500 miles on it and I have had it less than 4 months.

I keep it clean, go down and clean the windshield after I get in so the bug guts aren't all over the front etc. I clean the rims of all the brake dust etc.

Point is I like my **** clean and I also ride it.

I will ride no problem in the rain if I get caught in it.

I have even been asked to go on group rides. I showed up and it was sprinkling. All the Harley riders went to breakfast in their cars and I went ahead and went for a short hours ride because I was already wet.

Keeping your stuff clean doesn't make a poser. Going on a ride and stopping at every watering hole and doing 100 miles in 8 hours makes you a poser....

again WHATEVER!!!

Only one "yes" answer (#11). Looks a lot better than a red or blue suit, IMO.

I clean the windshield a lot more often than the rest of the bike. Function over form, mostly.

Actually your bike looks too clean to me :D

No I just have too many Harley friends that are posers that want to take shots at my superior bike that's all :D

I'm with sparky3008,,

I better take that micro-fiber towel and can of Yamaha Detailing spray out of my saddlebag as soon as I get home...

Anybody who was at CFO knows I'm busted! I just can't let the Cobalt Cooker sit with mashed bugs all over the front for very long. I don't think the bug guts are good for the paint or windshield. And up here you sometimes need alot of elbow grease :moil: to get the summer splooge off.

It seems like my SO never have anything good to say about the ties I choose to wear with my suits so color coordination is not my forte in what I wear. However, I solved that by wearing mostly black which coordinates very well with my '04 FJR. Then on a lark I also purchased a camouflaged armored jacket which allows me to disappear really fast on the backroads.

1. Do I clean my cycle after every ride?

I clean it every couple of months, whether it needs it or not

2. Do rain and/or wet roads upset me?

No...But wet packed leaves on a curvy road make me nervous

3. Do I have a rain cover in any of my storage areas? Is it always there?

My butt is the only rain cover my bike has

4. Do I take my bike to 'meets/breakfasts/etc.' and make sure it's sparkling when I get there?

Never been to one

5. When another biker comments on how clean my bike looks I give them an 'Aw Shucks' lie that says I haven't cleaned it in weeks, but in reality you just did.

People don't say that to me

6. Did I buy a Garmin 376C with weather feature so I can see if it's going to rain on my clean bike? And avoid rain areas.

Negative

7. Given the choice of riding or detailing, detailing is more fun.

details shmetails

8. Do I have more than four (4) detailing products in my garage? E.g. S100, BOM

I have a hose and some soap...is that 2 items?

9. Have I abandoned standard microfiber rags for ultra-microfiber rags?

I have a rag for wiping my nose...not sure of the fibers in it but they're small...micro or ultra I couldn't tell you

10. Have I abandoned chrome/polished stainless because I can't get rid of early morning fog?

What?

11. Do I color coordinate my riding gear with my bike color(s)?

Bike=Blue, Jackets=Red, Pants=Black

12. Do I polish my boots after each ride?

I wipe my feet before entering the house, does that count?

One day while at the office one of my co-workers told me I needed "to wash the bugs off that nasty bike". I pointed out that it would cut into my riding time. I do like riding a clean bike but I'd rather ride than wash. However, I do wash it every couple of weeks. Then I take it for a ride to dry it off. I also polish my boots every week or two. But thats because I'm in sales and clean boots just make a better impression than dirty boots. I figure its a fair trade off to be able to ride my sales route on my bike.

10. Have I abandoned chrome/polished stainless because I can't get rid of early morning fog?

What?

Chrome gets a haze on it when it is foggy out due to the moisture and it can be bothersome to some. :D

Jetmaker; I don't know, sounds like its too close to call. If that snot rag is ultra fiber it could tip the balance,,,,, Hope every thing is going well for you. Don

Franks a pigpen. I did notice, however, that filth does not enter into the speed equation. Thought you all should know.

Yes to only number 12. Because they happen to be Fluevogs, which are leather boots that are handmade by angels.

Hi Don...things are going OK.

I suppose I could resort to a farmers blow and lose the rag to remove all doubt...could result ina fairly messy helmet though :eh:
