Fair warning...

There's nothing between Pine Bluff and Little Rock.

White Hall is OK, but after that plan on LR.

Agree with Rushes. Nothing on that side of the state. You may want to consider going through Hot Springs instead. Mo better riding.

We are heading out Thursday A.M., if you guys were in Texarkana (or close) Wednesday night, you could join us for the ride up. We (JJones and I, and maybe the Peek bros)) usually make a good day ride out of it, 400+/- miles or so, and all good Arkansas twisties. Just let me know!

Thanx folks

I'm adjusting my route to scenic, shortest distance (not time) which takes me to Natchez, Bastrop, Rison, Hot Springs, Ozark National Forest, to Eureka.

Little interstates and lotsa country roads. A little longer in miles, some more hours on the road, but a nice ride since I'm staying overnight in Hot Springs now. Will shoot to make Eureka around 3pm on Thurs.

Again, thanx for the advice.

Maybe I'll see other FJR's on the road

Just a note about the rally starting on Thursday, if I haven't said it already somewhere else or on the website, I do plan on having the hotel do food for us on Thursday night. I wasn't too impressed with the food choices within walking distance of the hotel so I'll have a meal prepared for those who do arrive Thursday. That's why I made it the official start date. In the past, most folks do arrive Thursday night anyways. I want to do something casual, prolly some BBQ in the courtyard, hopefully under a tent. I will ask them about extending the serving time for a few hours so you don't have to arrive by a certain dinner time. I'll see what they can do!

What? You're not cooking?

Dude, I wanted to do a hog roast so bad for you guys!! Unless the hotel restaurant can make it happen (don't hold breath) we're outta luck, unfortunately. But I will try to get something fun happening outside. Hopefully the weather will cooperate and be better this year!

Depends on work schedule for us, but I think I am taking off about noon on Thursday, heading up the Pig Trail. Iffin I have to be in ATL that week, it will be Friday evening...mentioned this to some others at work today, they may come up at least for a day...

Mike, from Hot Springs, head north on 7, stay on 7 thru Russelville, heading north. You'll cross AR 16 about 36 miles north of the interstate. About three miles further north, you can take 123 North to Mt. Judea, then 74 west thru Jasper to Ponca, then go north on 43 to 103 to Osage, then 21 north to Berryville, then 62 into ES. 123 is a GREAT road. and 74 paralells the Buffalo.

Another good option is head west on 16 when you come to it, then take 21 north to Berryville, or stay on 16 until 23 north and take it straight into ES. All are great roads. Just remember, the curves just keep on coming! And those are not short cuts by any means, more mountains and twisties.
