Where do you guys buy your farkle fuses in anything less than 10 amps?

I have a blue sea power distribution box wired up under the seat.

Run from the battery with 10/12 gage wire, fused at 20 amps

Blue sea is powering the following:

Valentine 1, Garmin 2730, Autocom unit, Smartire display, powerlet to my tank bag.

All of these loads are about 1 amp each at most, the tank bag being the largest depending on what I am charging inside (cell phone or ipod normally)

Anyway, I have been to about 10 places around town and everyone has 10,15,20,25,30 amp ATC fuses. The 5 amp is usually sold out (empty slot on rack). I planned on running a maximum of a 5 amp fuse in each circuit but the smallest I could find was a 10

Any national sources or ideas? Thanks.

I haven't had problems getting <10 amp fuses at the Napa store, but if the places you checked are all out, just pick the nearest one to you and ask them to order some for you. Probably quicker than ordering online. Often they have some in the back and are just slow to re-stock the shelf. Radio Shack might also be a source if you haven't checked there yet.

While on topic, I've noted that there are two common styles of ATC fuses. One has the link that looks like a 'U', the other like a 'Z'. I have had a couple of times where the 'Z' type melts, falls down and re-connects, then the whole fuse plastic starts to melt. I found one of these dangerously melted, but still sending current through it! I try to buy the 'U' style now. FWIW, the local Carquest seems to be the place I can reliably find these.

Thanks. I tried Napa & Radio Shack.

Both places stocked the small ones in the Mini style fuse but not the ATC.

I looked in the fuse holder of my truck and had all kinds of fuse sizes (2, 3, 5, 7.5)

Glad none of them have ever blown they have been tough to locate.

I've found many places to order online but this is a typical local store purchase for me.

Tried Napa, Radio shack, Lowes, Home Depot, Autozone, Pep Boys, Sears, Navy exchange gas station over the past 4-5 days. :( No luck yet.

Thought it was kind of wierd that no one stocked them (no empty slots on the shelf at least)

How about Wal-Mart (auto section)
Thanks, tried them as well forgot to put them on the list.

(5 amp out of stock) same story as others above.

Ended up ordering from a local place found by Google this morning.

(I didn't know it was local until I placed the order)

They have 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7.5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40 (ATC standard format)

Home Fuses

Had to pay some shipping but it's cheaper than all the gas/time I wasted.
