Hey Jay... WooHooooo!!! I was thinking about you the other day & whether the blessed even had happened, yet. Congrats pops! Hope you get a leave pass to join us.

When I get home I'm going to attempt to make a vote out of this subject,

Hello from eastern WV. Y'all ever consider Lewisburg, WV (Rt 219 S, 40-50 miles south of Durbin, 35 miles west of Covington, 85 miles south of Monterey) as a place to spend the night when finished riding? Nice places to stay, cool restaurants/refreshments, and nestled in the scenic Greenbrier Valley. Reasonable distance from some the best rides in western Va and eastern WV and from some of the past threads I have perused, possibly new roads to ride for some. Could still come in from Va on Rt 250, from Penn on Rt 219, and it's a hop skip and a jump north from Johnson City. On the WV side, bike play in the mountains of Pendleton, Randolph, Pocahontas, Greenbrier and even Webster County if interested in riding one of WV's best kept secrets. Easy slab ride home on Sunday in all directions for the weary. Weather the last weekend in October in these environs will likely require some warm, water resistant gear and will, in most years, be past the leaf color peak (the leaves are beginning to turn here now). I'd be interested in riding with you folks, whatever the general location in this neck of the woods.

Howdy spklbuk, so, do I hear that we have a ride leader??? Huh, huh, huh??? Hahaha!! just kidding. I myself wouldn't mind going south a bit... but that's gonna' be a little further south than I'm hoping for. BUT... I'll leave that to the others. We also have a guy possibly coming in fr/ PA... this'd be way out there for him. The TN guy (Mike) asked that we not make plans around him coming... so, that's not a factor. I'm going to attempt a poll to at least set a date. It sounds like maybe early/mid October is better for the peepers. Will make that known, also. Thanks for the info. Please keep up w/ us & lets go riding!
