Let's close this thread. I think there's a better way to install the CCS-100 servo.

My servo is working fine. I really hammered the servo with heat whaling away down around Hooterville with Smitty for two days. The servo didn't get cooked. Not yet, anyway. But I agree with the doubters above about the excessive amount of radiant heat that will probably toast my servo in the not too distant future.

I really don't call this (repeated and pirated) experiment a failure. But I DO think that Smitty's "Under the T-bar" install of the servo on ALL second generation bikes could be considered a standard for installations of the cruise control, if you don't want it under the seat. I think the environment is much more conducive to servo longevity. That's where my NEXT servo is going, under the T-bar at the front of the frame, right on top of the engine.
