Well, it worked yesterday. And for the last two years. Then it worked intermittantly, and then it dropped offline all on it's own, green LED's still blazin.

I had a problem with the cable coming loose at the bracket that piggybacks to the oem throttle cable once last year. Was expecting that to be the problem, but found the cable in tact and taut.

The unit turns on and off at the control pad. I cleaned the ground. I started the motor, and the LED get's all blinky at the servo and then it get's faster when I rap it up.

So whaddya think? Brake light connection gone bad, or whole unit gone bad? How about some help from you trouble shooting guru's. Looks like you all had some practice with a couple 2006's a couple days ago.

Never mind...

I went out to the garage and tracked down the red and purple wires to the brake light. Just for good measure, I gave those crimp taps a good darn squeeze. THEN, I pulled the plug out of the back of the unit and then reinserted it a couple times.

Back out .6 miles to the US highway, and YAHOO! It sucked up and stayed there.

Vibration and/or corrosion got the best of me.

Back in business... for the next owner....

Thanks for the info. Mine's still in the box but not for long. Note to self- Make all connections secure.

And if it starts going wonky all of a sudden after months and months of service, it's probably corroded. I think it was the pins in the plug, not the crimps. But who knows. I just did it all at once, so it could be wimpy crimps.... for about 25000 miles...
Yeah, it was a good bit of revue. Hoping I get to install a CCS-100 over the 4th on an OH SIX! Yeah Baby, COME TO PAPA!!!!!!!!
