Audiovox question

Can someone tell me if the keypad for the Audiovox Cruise Control is water proof?

Just curious before I decide where to mount this thing - i.e. baggie over it during rain storm to keep from mess'n it up...

It's been spoken that it's not very waterproof. I took mine apart and filled it with silicon rubber but only a thin layer on the front of the circuit card. Just gobbed it in the back and let it squish out the back when assembling.

In the links in that thread, Ionbeam's seems the cleanest method to me.

Basically, it isn't waterproof, but it isn't hard to make it so.

I know you saw my installation thread since you posted in it (nice silver bike, by the way!) so I'll tell you that after using it for a few days, I still have to look at it to find the right button, but only a quick glance, and it's not out of reach at all. To check it out, touch the flasher button while you're riding one day. It's harder to get to than my control panel location.
