audiovox servo locaton

I've read in a few threads that people have mounted the servo under the tank. Can anybody give me a few more clues to exactly where they are talking about?

I already have a fuse box mounted in my tool tray.

Under tank actually means under the T bar.

Which you can do because you have a Gen I without ABS. All bikes with ABS do not have this space available.

And in front of the coolant pipe, so that has to be removed for the install.

Thanks guys, I got it. Squeezes enough room for the servo in the tool tray with the fuse box. I will put the vacum canister in the under tank location.

I just installed mine in a 05 Gen I last night. I put mine behind the ride side cover under the tool tray hanging from the tool tray mount bole. Plus there is room for the 3 inch diameter vacuum canister they gave me.

My question is what do you guys do for under the tank with all the extra servo cable that is attached? I thought the longer and smoother the cable is stretched out the cleaner it is to pull.

By mounting under the ride side cover the cable is routed along the right side of engine head and loops up by the headset and lands parallel with the throttle cables nicely.

I just laid mine in a large, loose coil on top of the engine. The cable exited the servo towards the right side of the bike.
