I have been trying to change my avatar for some time now ,, it says the pixel whatsit will resize to fit ,, does not work !!!!

tried other options ,, it says that the menu has been deleted ???

WTF???

You've been banned, dude!

No, really PM an admin and they will fix for you.

galxy5, are you trying to use the avatar that I reduced in the avatar of shame thread? Cuz that one should have no problem. It is the right size and well below the byte limit, though I can probably get it much smaller byte wise.

If not, just ignore this post.

I just reset my controls to block avatars and sig lines. Wow...what a difference. It definately works better for me.

On the subject of Avatars, I noticed many have almost a quicktime file in the avatars or at least with several frames of movement. What programs do you guys use to make them and what os? I use a Mac.

galxy5....my apologies....didn't realize you were light in you loafers  ....kidding (only if your not)......joking.......just can't let a good razz go.......will get the wife to ***** slap me for this when she gets home :dribble: hope that will suffice

The Avatars are actually animated GIF files. Almost all Avatars are <15 frames in length, 4-8 frames are most common. There are a bunch of freeware/shareware animators that do an adequate job. You will need several still frames to put in sequence, then determine frame rate like a little movie then save the frame sequence as a GIF file. Details will vary with the animation package. -OR- find one you like and link to it :)
