avcc on old honda shadow

hi

i am trying to put an avcc on my gf's 92 shadow. got most everything done but i am unsure of where to pic up the vaccum at, i have it off the top of one of the carbs where they go back into the head but i am not sure that is the right place. if i pull that line off the bike still runs.....so?????????

i am also not sure about the vaccum check valve being in the right spot and turned the right way. i have it before the avcc and the vac tank, and you can not draw air towards the end of the hose where the servo is. is that right?

does anyone know what the dip switches should be set to, i have it the same as the fjr thread.

i was not sure about what side of the coil is what on that bike since i dont have an owners manual, so i just hooked it to the easest side to get, does it really matter whitch spade clip you hook to?

and the last thing i can tell you is that the red light on the servo flashes.
