Just wondering what everyone's age is. Most of my friends don't know anyone who owns a FJR. I've told them that the average age is 40-55, I know, big gap. I don't know anyone my age, 30, who has one. Guess I'm just trying to get into the elite cool club ahead of time. LOL. Anyway, what's your age?

There was a poll about this not long ago, IIRC the majority of us here were 40+ but there were a surprising number of the under 30 crowd, I myself being one. I bought my 03 when I was 26. 72k miles later I'm still loving it.

- At Bama football games I'm 18.

- In company board meetings I'm 43 but try to act much older.

- When I exercise I'm 43 but try to act much younger.

- When I meet women I'm 13 and can't speak english.

- When I'm riding my FJR I use the reflexes of a 21-yr old and the mind of a kung fu master.

- When I'm on an airplane I'm 9 again as when I took my first plane ride leaving Atlanta going to Asia.

- When I'm around close friends and family it's like the first Christmas I can remember.

You need new friends. ;) This is one of those topics that comes around about every 6 months. We have owners in their low 20's on this forum, and owner's in their 70's. On a group ride, make no assumptions about the riders with you. That old guy could be on his first bike, or be an ex-racer. That 'girl' could be the best rider you've ever seen, or just getting used to her biggest bike yet. Watch the riders with you and see who has good lane discipline and hits the corners with good lines. Beyond that, age doesn't really matter much.

Enjoy the FJR for the reasons you bought it, and all the things you discovered it could do once you got a few rides on it.

@CRMH Eagle - When I meet hot women I'm 13 and can't speak english. (fixed it for 'ya)

Oh yeah, I'm 46.
