Never mixed tires before but am considering it now as my front still looks real healthy.

Anyone out there mixed an Avon Azaro front with a Dunlop Roadsmart rear ?

HaulinAshe ?? Anyone ?

I know absolutely nothing (as yet) about mixing tires, but I know there are a plethora of you out there that have.

Thank ya.

Searching brought up mixes of Avon/Pirelli, Avon/Bridgestone, PR2/Roadsmart, Metz/Avon, Diablo/Avon, etc .. nothing yet on Avon/Roadsmart.

Don't know any one who has mixed a set, but might be worth a try. From the looks of the RoadSmarts I have, for the first time Ever I'm going to run out of front tire a few mile before I run out of rear tire.

Can't comment on that particular combo but have mixed many brands and even bias-ply with radial with NO disasterous results. Just don't tell a tire "professional" 'cause they'll have a fit!

When I had my tire guy mount a BT-021 on the rear and a Michelin PR on the front, he had me sign a waiver stating he explained the dangers of different tire profiles to me. That's the first time I ever mixed tires, but figured they are both black and round, so no worries. They have been great so far.

The way you did it is the right way. You want the stickier of the two tires up on the front.
