I'm about to become a two bike guy again, despite quizzical looks from my wife. I am in process of purchasing a 2003 Honda Super Blackbird with --- wait for it -- 3200 miles on it. Transaction is going smoothly.
This marks my return to ownership of another CBR1100XX after buying one from a fine member of this board just about exactly two years ago and then selling it approximately 8 months later because I convinced myself I could not justify two motorcycles. Well, I still cannot justify two motorcycles, but I am not about to let that stop me. Hell, I can't part with my 2005 FJR (true love last forever) and the Blackbird has captured my imagination. I can make it happen and I'm not getting any younger.
I know it does not exist unless there is photographic evidence, but there are no pics to speak of yet other than the ones I got from the seller; I would just as soon wait to post the ones I take after she is safe and sound in my garage. Just thought you guys might want to know given the mystique of the XX among no small number of FJR riders.
They say don't love anything that can't love you back.
I'm not so sure.... :yahoo:
