I just received my back rest and I have to say I am very impressed. Mine was painted to match my bike, it looks great! If anyone is thinking about getting a backrest for their FJR I highly recommend Gary's.

The back rest is well made, but it is too far back for my passenger to use. As soon as she tries to move back far enough to use it, I detect too little weight on the front wheel and tell her to move forward. She just told me I might as well remove it semi-permanently. It makes a nice forward stop for a travel bag, so I'll keep it.
