Same kids who used to "own" the street in front of their home now "own" any public street they choose to perform on. Anyone seeing the performers should have known they'd pull a "stoppie" for the camera.

I hope the SUV did stop, then used the video in court to prove wreckless endangerment as a mitigating cause of the impact. The SUV driver should have known that "stuntaz" own the street, even if it impedes the right-of-way for anyone else.

Yew gots tuh noe win tuh use yer celo-phone tew call them Po'-lice!

Stupid kid doing stunts on a blind turn. Very intelligent.

It was clearly the kids fault so the SUV driver shouldn't have buggered off.

Both at fault. The SUV driver was likely gawking at the time saying, "Wow, look at all those motorc-----." <CRUNCH>

However, IMHO, clear Darwinism in action (and on tape) should always supercede any and all written law, negating yet another waste of court time. In other words, No Fault on either side. Whatever the end result of either "victim", let'm go lick their wounds, temporary or permanent.

I **** up plenty. No one bales me out.

I had this discussion on another forum, but the SUV is mostly to blame in the legal sense.

A driver has a duty to drive at a speed in which they can reasonably react to unforeseen road conditions. Is it reasonable for the SUV to expect a motorcyclist to be doing a stoppie in the middle of the street? Of course not. But it is reasonable to have the motorcyclist stopped in the street (to make a left, to avoid an animal, etc).

But, that isn't really the issue here. The SUV was likely not watching the road in front of them, and then was surprised by the stopped motorcycle. What if it were a baby carriage? Or a huge sink hole? Who's fault then?

The motorcyclist will share some of the blame because there was clearly no legal reason for him to be stopped, but the actual accident is almost entirely the SUV's fault.....as is the Hit and Run.

Hit and run? might not have been if there was only one motorcycle in the area, but a bunch of motorcycles?

Everyone knows that a gaggle of bikers are bad news for people in a cage, and even badder news if the cage scratches a motorcycle. I've seen it in countless movies. :glare:
