Has anyone experimented with different bar end weights to tame the tingles ? I just put the BMW sport grips on as many of you seem to prefer. I like the grips but they didn't do much for high frequency vibes. By the way, I have an 06 with about 1400 miles and I have synced the throttle boddies already. Any good advice would be appreciated. Thanks, Mike hawk gt.

These work the best! Manic Salamander!

I love my Manic Salamanders. I have the chromed ones, they made a BIG difference for me. Of course, a sync should always be done.

I've had three different sets of bar ends over a period of time.......currently am using those that are a part of the Throttlemeister set-up. I think bar ends are the most over-rated farkle you can do, if you are looking for help in dealing with bar buzz. If you're buying them as a dress-up item, you'll be happy. Otherwise, save your money.

I'll concur. I think in trying to solve the buzz equation--bar end weights probably are a very small x in the equation. With the original question I think this person has probably come the closest to actually testing different masses. But searching for some harmonic sweet spot I would think you'd have to be the first and do it by adding lead tape (local golf shop) and riding after each addition.

Personally, I think the biggest X in the equation was a throttle body synch, replacing my spark plugs after 8K (or 16K on Iridiums) and switching to BMW sport grips.

+1

If your expectations aren't too high -- there may be some difference. Better make sure the $$ is worth the way it looks more than any inclination that all your bar vibe problems will be gone.

I just installed a Throttlemeister, not for the bar ends but for the throttle lock, but hoping maybe the bar end weights would help a little; they didn't. No better or worse than the stock end weights. (I do like the throttle lock though)

I got the Manic Salamanders, but don't stop there. I replaced the stock grip with a set of gel grips and even a foam cover (just to increase the grip diameter). The buzz is much better, but not gone. I consider it a good as it will get. Yes, I re-synched the TBs, but mine were not "out of limits" to begin with. Only now, they are synched as well as can be. I consider the "buzz" to be reduced about as far as I can reduce it. I'm just not ready to spend any more cash on it since it's now minimal. However, I can barely get my hand around the grip now. ;) If I wasn't so lazy, I'd get rid of some spring tension on the throttle...maybe over the winter. I think that would help reduce the "felt" buzz by reducing the grip pressure required.

Not shipping to Canada??? That is strange.
Hi Luke

I dropped the Manic guys an e-mail asking if they can help me out .... I'll post an update when I have one,

I hope they can fix me up - those chromed-out bar ends look darned nice..... and if they take a little buzz off too, well that'll be just great.
