Hey Mike is that not like the Meca for bike lovers? I was there in the spring. WOW I think there is 750 bikes inside and they have another 500 that they rotate through the displays. Did you see in the basement that they were showing some old outbards as well. I managed to snag a Barber Speedway flag while I was there. Once a year they put up new ones and sell the old flags for $10.

I visited the museum back in '05 and loved it. The quality of the displays is amazing, and the fact that everything on display is mechanically sound is doubly amazing. Fluids, maybe a battery charge, kick the tires, and anything there can be driven or ridden. They almost always run something from the museum on the track during lunch breaks.

I've been to the track 3 times since then but have not been able to get back to the museum. You do NOT want to try to squeeze it in while there on a race weekend; you simply won't have time to see anything, and it'll be really really crowded. It's a day trip. Really.
