Hey, here's a great idea. We all ride over to BD's house. Then we pee in his pool after drinking too much Irish so-called Whiskey, poop in his toilet, molest his hidden sheep herd, eat all the good food and make love to beautiful Irish gals while he sits on the couch and watches!

Anyone else in?

:****:

Hugs n' Kisses Don, we're pulling for you! (That's from Tim!)

(but not pulling what yah want pulled, yah dorkus)

That reminds me. I have to go over and drown Stanley in the bathtub after sending us all to our doom in Mexico. He's probably still laughing his *** off over that one the *******.

Drowning him in the bathtub would be a close approximation to the rains we went through in "Sunny" Mexico and then he had the nerve to tell Skip the rains were my fault.

Now if it had snowed well then I would have to accept the blame but I'm not taking any heat for the rain.

Don, get well soon my friend, and stick with rehab as described...

Hang in there, mi amigo.
You're too much of a force to let this **** get the better of you.
Do your rehab, be patient with yourself, ...and heal well.

We KNOW you'll be back.

Notes on Ontario Forum Members -

1. They blow up their bikes.
2. They don't support their Leafs.
3. Rain makes them cry.
....... Jus' sayin'.

Ouch.....the photos hurt just looking at them :-(

Glad you still have your sense of humor.

I wish you a speedy recovery.

Beemerdons - I also wish you a speedy recovery. I just read about your mishap now - I should have known something was up as the forum has been quieter than usual! You have a huge following and friends and supporters. It will take as long as it does to heal but you'll be back in the saddle soon enough.

#1 - OK you got me on that one. Like the Leafs I have no defense.
#2 - You would have to be an ex-pat from Manitoba to support the Leafs. Real Manitobans support the Jets. The rest of Canada laughs at the Leafs.
#3 - It was not the rain that made me cry, it was getting out of a warm bed and putting my foot down on a frosty tile floor that made me have to pee.

So are you rooting for the Jets to overtake the Kings for the last wildcard spot or are you a traitor to your home province? JSNS

I cannot cheer for the Jets, Bill.

Jets starts with J, ...and J rhymes with Ray, ...and that reminds me of RaYzerman19 who is a Red Wings fan, ...and I HATE the Red Wings.

Now, back on topic.

Our Brother Don really frowns on going off-topic.

I think Don is doing what most of us would do at this point. He is hurting both physically and emotionally.

The physical part is obvious, we can all look at the pics and "know" how bad that hurts. Add in the pains of rehab and we at least have an idea of what he is feeling.

The worst side is the emotional. Don cannot do the normal, everyday activities that make up life, nor can he ride. He has reached the "I am getting too old to do this safely and I might be endangering others" point. We all know it is perfectly normal to question and second guess every aspect of a crash like that, many of us have already been there.

Please join me in telling our friend Don that he is not too old to play on the motorcycle with his friends. Better to dial back the intensity and continue to enjoy the ride.

I agree.

Don should get a Harley Trike. Sorry Don, it had to be said.

........... "APRIL FOOLS!" :D :D

Well damn! I thought it was Don Stanley we were talking about. So who did the dirt get-off and F'ed up his shoulder and knee?

Best to the rule 10 adherent who is in recovery in AZ.

Don is not too old to play on bikes with his friends. He is just exceptionally ugly for his age.

Buck-up Don. This too shall pass and you'll have some neat new scars, and the chicks dig scars.

Syl and I gave the crusty old ******* an Easter call this weekend. He loves hearing from friends - the days are long when you're on the mend for this long. Donna is "his rock" and his son Seth has been helping Papa Chuy with some of his theraband physio routines. Slow and steady wins this race my friend!

So to help cheer Don up, here is an Irish tale:

Paddy has a broken leg, and his buddy Mick comes to see him

Mick says, "How you doin'?"

Paddy says, "Okay, but do me a favour mate, run upstairs and get me slippers, me feet are freezing."

Mick goes upstairs and sees Paddy's gorgeous 19-year old twin daughters lying on the bed.

He says, "Your dad's sent me up here to have *** with both of you."

They say, "Get away with ya... Prove it."

Mick shouts downstairs, "Paddy, both of 'em?"

Paddy shouts back, "Of course both of 'em, what's the point of ******' one?"

^^^^^ Funny!

Ate lunch at RiRa Irish Pub today and thought of my not-yet-met buddy, beemerdons.

Just talked with Don a little while ago. He sounded encouraged and discouraged. The shoulder and arm are still a problem, but he is up and about without the walker and plans to drive himself for the first time since the accident tomorrow. And he has the dog home now. That will provide some great therapy.

Keep it up Don! Wish I was closer so I could stop by and really mess with you!

Love,

FYB
