Sorry to bring this up, but I have been out of the Forum loop for a while. Does anyone know what the ticking percentages have been for the say....04's? I think at one time it was reported to be around 1 in 7 bikes. I was just curious if these percentage figures have changed.

It's a matter of much discussion and conjecture. That seems as reasonable as a guesstimate since there hasn't been any empirical studies.

I would suggest using the Search function of this wonderful board and "tick" to catch yourself up.

Well I did a lot of research on this determined that it is right in the range of between 0.001% and 99.999%, or in otherwords... all of the tickers ended up ticking but none of the non-tickers have shown any signs of tickining! :D :p :bleh: :p :D

According to BD in his daytona report, he says he spoke with the yami rep that claimed only 17 documented cases in the U.S. I suspect that number to be a somewhat conservative "marketing" response. But, I have no factual information.

"According to BD in his daytona report, he says he spoke with the yami rep that claimed only 17 documented cases in the U.S. "... WHAT A BUNCH OF CRAP COMING FROM THAT REP!....what kills me is that there is still a conspiracy of silence/ignorance among the corporate/dealer crowd...still protecting their cache` I guess! :assasin:

They are still pretty tight-lipped about the whole issue. Thankfully, there are places like this where people can get educated. 100% of the FJR's at my house ticked! ;)

I know of about half that number fixed in the bay area of San Francisco over the past 18 months or so. Who are they kidding? This seems like a response for future buyers not stats for current owners.

Too bad those numbers are different
