Bella Coola 2009

It started with my friend Dwight looking at maps. At some point while looking at a map of British Columbia he spotted a settlement named Bella Coola. "Let's go there," he said. Five of us left the Walla Walla, WA the morning of Aug. 20 for a 10 day 3300 mile ride that included Bella Coola's "hill." It was a blast.

I used an online service to make a photo book of the trip. Here is a link to the work in progress. There a couple of mistakes, but you get the idea. It's picture heavy and for you photo buffs, all pictures were shot with a Canon G10, raw, and a lot of them from the bike. If you mouse over the caption you can read it.

We're in the planning stages for next year.

jzz, it sounds as if you'd a fantastic ride, and documented it well. Excellent.

Is there any way to view those pics in a larger, better resolution sorta way? Zooming in wrecks them, and I'm sure the original image quality is exceptional, but I can't see them well.

(Or you could order me one of those photo books and mail it to me as an Xmas gift. )

might have to go there now, especially since now yet another local guy (Walla Walla vs. Tri Cities) did it.

so you went up on the ferry, or did I miss read? if so is it daily / expensive?

know another rider who deadheaded into B. Cool. and then turned around, your route would seem as good or better.
