Just wondering what the best YES program price people have found.

My local dealer offered the 4-year plan at the cost of the 3-year plan.

I've got about 8 weeks to shop.

Has anyone found a killer deal on the 4 year YES program in the Washinton State, Oregon, Idaho area - actually, I guess it really doesn't matter where you BUY it?

MANY TANKS!

Good question.

Exactly how much did it go up since the first release here? I paid $350 from D&H in Aug. '03.

$389 now, check is in the mail.
When I bought the bike in Oct '04, the price the dealer offered was $350.00, - at that time.

But they wouldn't lock into a future price (just offered, in writing, a 4-year program at a 3-year price).

So, sounds like $389, yes? K'weel, I can live with that. It's cheap insurance, in a way.

Yah know, I’d rather do the maintenance myself … heck the guy that did the 600-mile check up on the FJR (at the tune of $210.00!) looked younger than my sixteen year old daughter (and - she’s got a better set of tools, BTW (what can I say, I taught her well)).

Plus, you can always justify the cost of any additional tools needed for the service verses the outrageous cost of the “hourly rates” of a dealership service shop. At least, that’s my rational.

TANKS!! B)

Just want to go to the dealer(s) with the negotiating power of knowledge.

Does anyone know if there is a limitation buying the YES from outside the state of FL? When I bought my bike, the dealer tried to sell me the YES and when he told me his outrageous price I told him, "No thanks, I will get it elsewhere."

I told him that I could get a sweet deal from another shop (D&H), and e explained that I could not buy it outside of FL. He said FL was unique in this. Naturally, I started to get annoyed and told him if he couldn't get within a few points I won't be buying it. He said it is just not possible to discount it in FL. So, I didn't buy it figuring I would do my research later.

Anybody have any experience with this?

I believe the Great State of Florida views service plans as "insurance" and are therefor regulated by the State Insurance Commissioner and all of the laws governing the sale of insurance in Florida. One of those requirements is the purchase from a Florida licensed retailer.

All of those old people have lots of time on their hands and feel the need to make others lives miserable as well.

:p

D&H Cycles

Cullman, AL

$389 for 48 months the last time anyone updated their price. Available any time within the first 12 months of new puchase (while OEM factory warranty is still valid).

Google them for "local information" and you'll see their address and phone.

It is indeedy $389 from D&H. But you don't, apparently, have 12 months in which to do it. I got Frank Jul 31st last year. D&H is having to haul ass on my application in JUNE, so it is in place before July. Don't know why, but it must either take a while, or need to be in place within 11 months.

Suunyside in WA ( you know that place WC hangs out and drinks Latte's! ) also has a great price. ;)
Thanks, all!

As for Sunnyside: the quote was$499.00 - no tax on warranty purchases  , and the check is in the mail.

Not the best price, but the best I could find on the west coast (I know, it doesn't matter where you buy it). But, $120.00 under what the Oly dealer quoted me. (Funny, the local dealer said they are only selling it that cheap because they want your service business - Well, DAH!).

Sunnyside, from all reports, is well worthy of being the FJR dealer of choice in the PNW.
