Just the other day a guy on a motorcycle rear ended a car on the Ben Franklin Bridge here in Philly. Not only did he hit the car, but he and his bike flew off the bridge and landed on the street below. Obviously he didn't survive. The drop from the bridge to where he landed is about 100 feet.

I've been over this bridge a lot of time and even did some inspections on it back when I did that kind of work. I'm still trying to figure out how fast the dude had to be going to launch himself over two railings, a pedestrian walkway, and a set of train tracks that run along the side of the bridge. The cops still don't know exactly what happened.

He did not go through the the cross section area, I would say that he went over the top rail than down

just a wreckless guess
