Everett Powersports, was in for the morning retired guys coffee and donuts and there she sat looking very pretty. Asking price is $5500, has two brothers pipes and magknight tank guard. Little chip on rt mirror and a couple of small scratches on right lens, had to look to see them. Looks like someone may have had a gentle let-down, nothing seems broken. No sliders or other farkles noted. For 5 grand (if I had it) I would be tempted to pick up this 2900 mile garage queen for a spare.

2008 with a single week's worth of riding on it? Probably original tires. Hell, it might only be on its first oil change after break in unless it was changed annually "just because". Some people obviously have way more money than brains.

still had the little tits on the tires (which I would replace asap if I bought it).

The rest of the story is as follows:

JamesW's description is spot-on! The bikes in very good condition appearance wise. New tires and suspension stills feel good.

The ignition recall was done. The ground spyder recall issue has not been done. Was told that recall was still open and would be done at any Yamaha dealer. CCT change out - unknown.

As for the 2,935 miles, the instrument cluster was switched out at 18,900 miles. Mileage then is 22,835, which in some ways might even enhance the value.

Still for sale!

Keep Going!

With the switched-out instrument cluster and 23,000 miles I guess it is a bit more reasonable. The bike actually has a year's worth of riding on it instead of just a week's worth. As noted above, extremely low mileage is not necessarily a selling point! Still, after 9 years, it is only just coming up on the time for the first valve check!

Dealer might get in trouble for advertising the 2900 miles if he knows otherwise...
