North Road on the way home was OK, except for a few places that were recently raked and graded, leaving a section of marbles like gravel to navigate. Did manage to avoid Dunbarton on the way home.

Somehow, it took me much longer to get home than I had planned. Just rolled in. The restaurant was only an hour from home, but the air was finally warm, the sun was out and shining, and the BBB just kept pointing its front wheel at roads that did not lead back to the barn. 
What a beautiful day. I should have just blown off the rest of the day!! Good breakfast. Well worth the effort.

I am surprised to hear that, since you have a GenI. My bike sometimes acts exactly the same way. I have been thinking it was an S4 problem, with the intermittently faulty ground circuit having a deleterious effect on the directional stability portion of the ECU, thus causing an anomalous "this way home" signal to be generated. Now I'll have to rethink the whole thing.

We just rolled into the garage at 4:15. Our front wheel just wouldn't turn toward home. You can tell the really good breakfasts from the others -- the food is gone before the cameras have a chance to come out. No food porn pixs but I do have some other pixs that I will post when I get a chance.
I did ride through Dunbarton on the way home... I was going to stop at the police station and tell them that my name is Dan and I will be returning at the end of the shift to take out the driver of the white pickup truck :lol:
Tired old barn, just a couple of years ago this barn was packed with cows.

The Blackwater Restaurant -- so what did you expect?
A 'New Englander' where generation after generation the house gets extended.
Obligatory farm animal picture.
There was about a mile of wheel benders sprinkled across the road making it a slalom.
Since we were passing through Manchester, NH we decided to stop in here. We stop a couple of times a year because we worked 0.5 miles away.
The metal tower on the left side of the picture holds the fish hopper. The fish bucket is tipped about 45 degrees. The white tubs hold the fish and then a tank truck drives under the platform and the trapped/scooped fish get dumped for stocking or relocation.
It's all down hill from here. The house at the bottom of the hill is a wildlife center and the basement has viewing windows into the fish ladder. The whole area is planted with flowers, shrubs and flowering trees. There are bird houses that attract a wide variety of song birds. It is a little park like gem hidden among all the brick and steel of downtown. The air is flower scented and all you can hear are sweet bird songs.

The walls are all hand painted with wildlife scenes. This is the star case leading down to the fish ladder viewing area.
The windows look into one section of the fish ladder.
The water is murky because of all the recent rain. I have seen huge salmon, large and small mouth bass, tons of shad, monster carp, eels (yuck) and all kinds of other small fish like pumpkin seeds and blue gill. These salmon are about 30" long.
I also stopped and shot this deformed duck. Err, great blue heron.

I am always amazed when I see stuff like this:
Just imagine how much effort it took to move and stack those giant stone blocks back in 1820!! Quite fitting building material for the "Granite State".

Uhhhg, holy shit guys! My day (yesterday) is finally coming to a close!! My bike, though, GenII, had a very peculiarly similar tendency to steer away from home the closer we got. Funny, don't recall seein' no message codes on the cluster :blink:
Took all backroads home. 114 and 77 to New Boston and Mont Vernon way. Then road past Parkers as a side detour to go onto more back/scenic roads. Was a great day, thanks!
Oh, Fred, while you had stepped away from the table, Alan nominated you as the one to pick the next "Diner, drive-in or Dive"!
I'm going to bed, I'm beat... :dribble: What a shit night THAT shift was..... yuck.
