I'm heading out on the Feej to run an errand down in Salem. Might take the scenic way back on 213. It is what we make it.
Does one whine a whiner make? I suppose so. Actually, I ride nearly every day. Pretty much have to since my wife has our only car in Portland, whilst I am in Silverlake WA, farting around on our little piece of property. That doesn't mean that I have to like this crap weather. It should be in the mid 60's by now. With more sunny days than not. Does this post constitute another whine? Where are my pills? Sigh. :dribble:Stup and ride you whiner!

Yes, it should be in the mid 60s by now, dammit. But it's not, so don't piss off Mother Nature any more than she already is. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say you're in the Silverlake near Everett? (there are three in WA). That's not so bad, Everett's a nice scenic town... well, ok, it's a sty, but there are some fun roads around there and BC is only a short hop North.
Nah. I am in the little unincorporated community of Silverlake about 9 miles up the Spirit Lake Memorial Highway. Right smack on Destination Highway number 3. Near Toutle, WA. Or Castle Rock.
Oh yeah, the roads all around you suck! Not. Have you considered doing the Dam Tour this year? Good excuses to go for rides and some in your area as well.

Therein lies the heart of my whine. Wifey and I are doing the Dam Tour. Collected 6 so far. Heading down to get the bonus dam in NorCal on memorial day.

70° and clear blue skies in Colorado, best weather I've seen since last summer. Would be great except for one minor inconvenience.... the constant 50 mph winds (no kidding). Heard a rider crashed this morning on one of the roads west of Denver, known for high winds.

Just watching the Portland weather. Record Low High temps. It's never been colder on this date for a high temp. 50 degrees.

Yep, perfect time to do that much needed bike maintenance. I just picked up oil, filters and coolant. And called Pro Caliber in Longview to set aside a front PR2 for me ($72.06 +tax is all). And free mounting for Dam Tour riders. Yep, by the end of the weekend the bike will be ready to go another 60k. F*CK the rain, summer's on the way.

Yep, did that on me when I was leaving Salem today. Had to stop in Stayton and get a RO at the dealer for an oil leak they caused, then dropped the hammer and hit 213 for home. 50 minutes to my door, quick change and out the door for work. Just made it!
Just heard on Portland weather channel that it was warmer in Anchorage and Fairbanks than it was here today.
That's a heckuva deal. My front PR2 is pretty badly cupped already. Might mozy on down to LV and git me won.
Hey LD. Just got off the phone with with Pro Caliber in Longview. They quoted me $122.00 for the front PR2. Free mounting for Dam Tour riders though. Sweet.
