Yep - that game was decided by the refs. Not really a close call as it happened, but the replays showed it was even worse.

Now they know what it's like to be a Detoilet Lions fan.. Only thing missing was they didn't make a rule change after a play.

Its a shame that such blatant non calls take place. That defensive player wasn't even looking at the ball. It was a joke that they missed that. Almost like it was rigged?!?

The Rams defensive back Coleman has admitted he had decided to take out Saints receiver Lewis because he had been beaten and wanted to save a touchdown. Looks like he made a better choice than he thought he was making.

Probably tutored in that by Aquib Talib. (Remembering the flagrant and intentional tackle by facemask that Talib executed in SB 50 while with the Broncos.) At least Coleman didn't stomp on his legs after he was down like Suh would have counseled.

Disclosure: I grew up a Rams fan, but they have 3 new, highly paid defensive players this year whose history of dirty play and assholiness make it impossible for me to root for them.

Sure glad I quit paying attention to Pro sports a long time ago. Really saves on the ulcer factor participating in all the whining.

I did for the most part especially after the whole kneel shit but it's mostly over now so I'm back for the playoffs. Both games went into overtime yesterday, made for some fun viewing. With the dvr I wait an hour after the start and buzz through the game in half the time.

Only 6 weeks until MOTO GP!!!!!!!

Worst non-call I have ever seen in playoffs.
1975, Cowboys vs. Vikings, Divisional round, Drew Pearson pushed off Nate Wright, to catch the first ever Hail Mary pass for a game winning TD.

And for the record, I loved the non call Sunday. Karma from the '09 NFC Championship game.

I really wish the Patriots would end up on the wrong end of a call, even once.... that phantom "roughing the Brady" call in the 4th quarter was pretty key to their win. And after the Tuck Rule game and all of the other shenanigans they've pulled it seems to me (as an acknowledged hater) that those things ought to even out over time but unfortunately it doesn't seem to be the case

Nice post Bug! I don't watch much football any more either but those were two entertaining finishes.

But now for thread hijack!

On the MotoGP side, I think this is going to be an awesome year in MotoGP. It seems to me that the major factories are all gonna be competitive. I'm gonna play it safe and predict a sixth title for #93 in the top class but believe it will be way more entertaining and competitive than last year.

1) Lorenzo and Marquez in the same garage! Lorenzo is the only guy who has beat Marquez since 2013 and now they're riding the same bike. I guess we'll see now if its man or machine.

2) Is this the year Yamaha picks Vinales as their #1 and develop the bike for him instead of #46? Probably not due to the Doctor's fans, but I think it's time.

3) The Ducati is fast! Can Dovi put it together, quit crashing from the lead and break the drought? He'll be near the front at nearly every event this year.

4) Can Suzuki take the next step and win a race? They're not far away - everyone says the bike handles beautifully but last year they were down a lot in top speed, especially to the Ducati's. Maybe they'll close the gap and get a win or two? Rins really showed improvement late in '18 and had 5 trips to the podium, but not sure how fast Mir will be. I think it's a near certainty he'll be the top rookie this year.

5) And lastly, I think its gonna be a tough year for Zarco. KTM seems a long way off from competing regularly for the podium though Espargaro did have a nice 3rd at Valencia to close the season.

Can't wait for March 10th :)

Sure the pats have made out over the years with stuff, I don't think it's so much the team as it is the league. When San Fran was dominant there were a lot of favorable calls as there were when Denver and Green Bay were the shit.

I honestly believe the powers that be decide who's going to be in the stupid bowl. The lions pissed off somebody decades ago and are still paying.

Oh BTW Old man Slocum is blind so that's why he don't watch no more. He should apply to be an Official in the NFL.

Bust's post reminds me of a line from the movie "Damn Yankees." The book was written in the '50's, when the Yankees were winning every World Series and the Brooklyn Dodgers were their annual fall punching bag. In one scene, the devil was talking about how much he loved the Yankees--which explained their success. Somebody mentioned the Dodgers, and the devil says "Oh, I HATE the Dodgers!" Well, it was a funny line in the '50's.

Guess he hates the Lions too, Barry. And loves the Patriots.

I only read this thread when I see that Bust has responded. Then I know I will get a sophisticated, erudite and unvarnished insight into the issue. I am a better man for doing so.
