Where are people mounting these? I do not want to use what little space is available under the seat (tool tray) as I already have a PCIII there and with ABS would need that space for a AVCC. Has anyone found a way to put the Blue Sea up front in the faring somewhere? I looked and can't see anywhere it could go.

I've seen a Centech fuse block mounted up front but not a Blue Sea fuse block...doesn't mean there isn't one...just that I've not seen one. My Blue Sea fuse block is mounted, like many others, under the passenger seat. Seems Yamaha made a place perfectly suited for one there.

Most are mounting them all the way in the back under the passenger seat. Besides being a source of switched power, it is a lot easier to get to in the back when you add a new farkle or blow a fuse while on the road.

Isn't it a PIA to run wires back to the front, where most of the farkles are located?

Not really. If you already have the farkles, put the wires in the loom that houses the + and - feeds to the Blue Seas. If you're doing it for future farkles, just run an extra pair or 2 in the loom.

As Jeff said, if the Blue Seas is under the passenger seat, if you're on the road and have an issue, it's much easier to do problem determination. If it's tucked in the upper, imagine the problems that would cause if you have a problem at night.
