Bluetooth - Cell Phone Problems

I have installed a Scosche bluetooth interface with my cell phone, and everything works well, with one exception. The kit is intended for a car installation and the microphone only works well when positioned about a foot or so from the speaker (as in a car). Mounted inside a full-face helmet (millimeters from my mouth), the transmitted sound is very poor. I talked with Scosche tech help, but they didn't have any ideas other than moving the mic around in the helmet. Anybody out there using a mic in a full-face helmet that works well?

Used the Scala rider for a while now. Its great.

Just to test the waters a Blueant interphone arrived today and I will test it vs the scala soon.
