I stopped by the local BMW dealer to take a look at and swing a leg over their new bagger. I have never been a fan of "The Motor Company" and their bikes, but do like the bagger look. I had been considering a Honda F6B when BMW announced the K1600B last year. For some reason that eludes me, Honda only equips the Canadian F6B with ABS. It isn't available in the US. I have been eagerly awaiting the K1600B ever since. It turns out that the bike at the dealer is a demo bike. I took it out for an hour and a half yesterday and WOW! that is a nice ride! The bike had most of the options on it including the reverse, Shift assist Pro and floorboards. As usual, the fairing mounted stereo was useless above about 30 mph. At least it will connect to the Sena 10U in my Shoei Neotec. The inlinr 6 is rated at 160hp at 7750rpm and 129 ft lb torque at 5250rpm and 70% of the torque is available at 1500rpm. It was quick but not much quicker than my FJR. I would certainly consider buying the bike, but not brand new. I will give it a year or so to see what if any issues pop up with it. If you have a dealer near you with one, I really recommend taking it for a spin if you like the bagger type bike.
