BMW Rally in Vermont- July

My wife and I are a mixed marriage, I have an FJR and she has a BMW. We will be going to the BMW Intl. Rally in late July in Essex Junction, VT. Is anyone else from the FJR crowd going to attend? It should be alot of fun, they typically have about 8,000 people that show up, and most of them camp out. If any of you are going, let's get together for a drink. Meanwhile, it has finally started to warm up here in Maine and the riding is great.

Yeah last year's in Ohio was an OK event. Riding bud has an 1150 RT & has been programmed with the 'Boxer Mystique'. Nice event, all kinds of people from geezer to geek to leather poseur.

Only saw one other FJR there, looked like a real LD rider with an extra top shelf full of gear, don't remember what state it was from.

This year is a definite maybe, it's only a week before the NFO at Reno, and I've been booked at Reno for months. If one gets skipped it'll be the BMW get together because I'm not missing the NFO...

I came to the FJR from a long string of Beemers and am still an MOA member. I have the time scheduled off and was planning on going, however some recent events (my brother's illness and passing) caused me to use up quite a bit of time. I am in a Chattanooga hotel room right now getting ready to head to Naples, Flordia with my wife for a week + of R & R on the bike. I may still make a couple days of the MOA. I will keep you posted as to my plans.

COOL SUMMERS :dribble: I guess you guys ahve not been around the past few years. It can be rather warm during July (temps in the 90's and HUMID). If anyone comes please ride Routes 100, 17 (App Gap), 108 (Smugglers Notch) just to name a few. I'd give anyone a tour but the wife and I are heading to Deals Gap that weekend.
