This weekend, the FJR will not get ridden. I've decided to take my Dad fishing tomorrow instead. The fish are biting and quite frankly, I've got a craving for fried fillets and a few beers. Sunday, my wife has me doing something. I can't remember what it is, but if she's declared me available for it, it must be important.

So the big blue girl will sit in the shop. She'll prolly think I've abandoned her. After all, she waits patiently all week for me. When it's her turn, we run in the wind, laughing and playing. Occasionally, I turn her reigns loose and her trot turns to gallap in a hurry. She breathes deeply and enjoys every second of it. When we return home, I rinse and wipe her down carefully, thanking her for the great experience. As I close the shop door, she winks at me in confidence, assuring me that until the next time, she will be waiting patiently for me. Waiting for the next adventure...

But alas, that will not happen this weekend.

Boo Hoo.

Really nice post..!!!

Uhmm... you are talking about a motorcycle, right? And not a Na'vi from Avatar, right? Right??

Not sure if I'm reading motorcycle **** or sci-fi ****...

  :D

I have to agree that when I'm astride my 08 AE at speed, and swinging her in and out of the twisties, I am often struck by the poetic moments that we create together. The bike is so good at so many things that you can't help but be overcome by it all sometimes.

Ha! Yeah, what Neil said :D

I took my girl out for a very short trip yesterday and it'll have to hold us til next Saturday. <sigh>.

I got this TMT (Too Much Toy) problem myself. There was jealousy amongst my garage toys so I had to tell each n every individual toy that they will have to understand how to share their time with me!

PS. I got this idea from one of my past g/f's, I would be going off to work, she would stand in front of her toy drawer butt necked and just to tease me would say "now which one of you would like to come out and play w me? hmmm". She was such a friggn tease.

Where was I? ...WORK! hey, somebody had to pay for the toys!

As luck would have it, my Sunday thing was not until this afternoon. So I woke up early this morning and got in about 100 miles along the countryside. Wish I could have stayed out, but none the less, it was nice this morning.

Next weekend - day trip. 400 miles minimum. Cheers.
