Boot sizes For Cold

Instead of tacking this on to a cold weather clothing thread I thought this could stand on its own. I always buy my boots 1/2 size larger to allow multiple sock options and my long underwear legs. Seems to keep the feet a little cooler in the hot weather with just the one pair of socks.

I would agree with this 100% !

The choice of socks is also a big factor for overall comfort. I have some wool/lycra blend boot socks that I wear with a thin polypro undersock, and that seems to give both good absorption and warmth... silk works well as an undersock as well, but are harder to find.
