I just put down a deposit for an 06 AE with a dealer in Dallas......He told me that they will come off MSRP $1000 for a presold 06 FJR AE....Since MSRP is 15,299 and are delivered fully loaded there should be NO ADD ONS, that puts me in the bike for $14,299...

What kind of pricing have your area dealers quoted you?

I placed an order for an FJR1300AE down here in Bryan / College Station and I paid less than that drive out (including tax, docs, etc).

I would recommend you take a quick trip to Texarkana or some other place close.

Regards,

Shane

Check out some of the various threads around the forum. Cheapest I have seen so far, and I seriously doubt it will be beat, is an AE going for $12,999, from the dealership in Alabama.

I just spoke with D&H cycle and their price is as follows the A model is $11,499 and the AE is $12,990. These are total prices except sales tax.

Just called D&H and my check is in the mail. Spine and Skooter are correct. SCHAWEET!

Rocket, how will you have the bike shipped?? And what will it cost?

SHIPPED?

You're kidding right?

Cullman to DFW is less than 900 miles (less than 800 iirc). It's a fricking sport TOURING bike. Fly out, get Jerrole to pick you up at the airport. RIDE the stinking thing home!

Worked for me when I picked up my 2003 back in 10/2002.

|I agree the Fly/Ride can't be beat at D&H. Jerold had a worker pick me up at the Birmingham Airport and brought me back to Cullman where three of us were picking up 05/Blues. It was a great excuse for a long ride taking me 3,327 miles of excellent riding back to Maine. I had plenty of time to pre-plan my route which included the Trace {Mississippi],Deals Gap,BRP,Adirondacks,Green and White Mountains of Vt/NH back to Portland. Do it !! :D

Really, I had mine shipped from Fort Lauderdale to Naples, 125 miles. :beee:

Naw, I have a wing and a FJR and now want a Boss Hoss!! Sold my Harley no likey. :beee:

I would say that a minimum of 10% off the MSRP and make sure they're not trying to add in any "Setup" fees.

Shipped? NO WAY.

I'll either drive down in my truck and haul it back, or, more likely have my buddy fly me down in his plane and drop me off at Folsom Airport, about 3 miles away.

In a perfect world, I would magically appear in Cullman and wisk the bike away. 480 miles each way. Nice way to break in the bike, then do the break in service at my house soon as I get home.

When it gets to that point, if there is someone else in the Illinois/Indiana area that wants to pick up a couple bikes at the same time, that would work out. Actually, I could haul 3 or 4 easy enough. The same buddy of mine would lend me an open trailer for behind my truck. However, his plane is only a two seater, so airplane rides for fellow owners are out.

Renaa said they would come to Birmingham or Huntsville to pick me up if I wanted to fly commercial. Now how is THAT for service, especially when they aren't making hardly anything on these bikes! Gotta love it.

Don't know about the one way rental car thing. That's probably more expensive than an air ticket. Not as expensive as the AvGas (100LL is about $4 plus) but the whole thing becomes an adventure.

There is a guy about 90 miles from me selling the bikes for about $500 more than D&H, but I figgered that A.) I could get to Cullman cheaper than that, and B.) would rather they get the business. YMMV.
