Hmm? I tried but it just springs back and I don't want to stress it too much, at least until I find another one.\

Add a little heat as you thump it. I fixed the V-Strom brake peddle this way - easy and like new. Heh heh, I also remember "fixing" the brake pedal on my brother's Fazer with a rock and a tree stump.
