Last Tuesday night the wife and I rode over to have our usual bike night dinner at Blue Goose in Addison. We were leaving and got into the left turn lane and this guy in a pick three cars up was yelling out the window.I was chatting with the wife on the intercom about this bubba in a pickup yelling out the window.I did hear him say "Dim your lights!"I had a gut feeling he was yelling at me.Prior experience I guess. My lights are on low and it couldnt be me.Sure enough the light changes and we start into the intersection and he stops in the far left lane then waits on us to get in front of him.He then charges up behind us like he was going to hit us.I swerve to the far right and the car next to me blocks the other traffic.I get all the way to the curb coming to a complete stop and he blocks the whole road with his pickup.I thought he was going to hit or shoot us.Horns blaring everywhere.Wife is terrified now.He is yelling at me to dim my "f"ing lights.I flip up my helmet and wife and I yell they are on dim and flashed them.I had something like this happen years ago because that bubba didnt like the pipes I had.I didnt walk or drive away that time.I swear Dallas area drivers have gotten so aggresive and dangerous. There seems to be a lot of airing out of frustrations here with guns.Too many news stories of someone firing a gun from a car here.

Anyone experience this?
Absolutely. This is the 3rd time this week somebody has posted without bothering with paragraphs. Although not using even a single space after a period is something I haven't seen lately.

....maybe.....just maybe....and I'm going out on a limb here.......he should have politely asked, "Have you checked to see if your lights are properly adjusted when you're carrying passengers? I seem to be getting more photons in my eyes than is comfortable." ????

Hmmmm.... :dntknw:

Yup, with a passenger, you're lights are probably improperly aimed, thus you are blinding on coming traffic.

Does that give Bubba the right to do what he did? Hell no, but, he's a Bubba, so what are you gonna do? Argue intellect with him???? Ask him what the **** he's gonna do about it??? Tell him your a Viagra and Swedish Penis Enlargement salesman and that he needn't worry about being small any longer??? Your options here are really only limited to your imagination.

NOTE: Most of the above replies will likely end up with you in the hospital, depending on how Bubba he really is.

Simply telling him they are dim and that you're sorry he was offended is about the only tactical thing you can do that will protect you legally should it escalate and you end up putting him in a pine box.

never happened to me but pony is prolly right and not saying the guy was in the right but it is pretty easy to re aim them.

1.) What Bubba did was wrong. It happens to all of us now and again, and it doesn't matter what city or state you are in. Welcome to the culture of the U.S in the 21st century.

2.) Have you in fact checked your headliamp adjustment? I owned an '04 and one of the issues discussed when they were first delivered (a long time ago in a place far, far away): Headlamps are adjusted too high. I used to get "flashed" regularly by oncoming traffic until I adjusted mine downward.

I'm guessing yours might be "just on the edge" and with a passenger, they could be too high.

3.) You could always hit him with your Soltek driving lights then make an immediate turn and run like he##!

4.) Wait until next time and have a "snappy" reply ready.

I'm shocked that you automatically assumed he was a "Bubba". Profiling is a no-no.

Er...um...wait....

Texas...

Road rage...

.....nevermind.
